Natural Tourmaline Paraiba Cuprian – Elbaite 37.5 Carats

This Stone is one of the rarest stones on the planet, only first found in the 1980’s for every 10,000 diamond mined there is one of these Paraiba stones mined. They are only found in grounds rich in Copper and Magnesium, such as in the Paraiba region of Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique. This particular stone is rarer than most due to its butterfly effect which was cut directly from the stones it was mined. This Comes to you in a rough polish finish. The stone is 7.5 on the MOHS scale and has a strong blue fluorescence and the cut is transluscent to opaque. The certified colour is intense blue neon with trace of pink.
